Knights of Sidonia: Battle for Planet Nine

After narrowly surviving a catastrophic encounter with a gigantic Gauna, resulting in the loss of countless human lives, Kobayashi, the captain of the spaceship Sidonia, undergoes a profound shift in her political ideology. Taking control of the situation, she sets her sights on the complete eradication of Gaunas from the Lem system, where a new Sidonian colony has been established. Kobayashi's ambition is fueled by two significant advancements: the creation of potent, long-range anti-Gauna weaponry and the birth of Tsumugi Shiraui, the first human-Gauna hybrid possessing extraordinary destructive capabilities. However, her plans face opposition due to the prevailing prejudice against chimeras and the uncertainty surrounding her ambitious military campaign. Seeking assistance, Kobayashi turns to Nagate Tanikaze, a promising new elite pilot. Tanikaze, having formed deep connections with Shizuka Hoshijiro and Benisuzume's placenta, quickly develops a bond with Tsumugi. As the final confrontation with humanity's greatest threat looms, Tanikaze cherishes the remaining moments of peace with his friend Izana Shinatose. Meanwhile, Kobayashi secretly pursues the development of a highly experimental weapon that could potentially lead to the complete annihilation of Sidonia.
