Android Kikaider the Animation

Dr. Komyoji creates Jiro, a robot, but a tragic explosion occurs. Dr. Komyoji's children, Mitsuko and Masaru, search for their missing father. Jiro wanders aimlessly until he meets Mitsuko, who teaches him about his robot form and the GEMINI system. Their growing bond is disrupted when a mysterious flute causes Jiro to attack Mitsuko, leading her to believe he is dangerous. Fearing destruction, Jiro leaves Mitsuko and Masaru. Mitsuko hires Hanpei Hattori and his apprentice Etsuko Sarutobi to find Jiro. Jiro encounters other robots and learns about Professor Gill and the evil organization DARK. An android named Hakaider controls Jiro through a whistle. Mitsuko's feelings for Jiro deepen as they spend more time together. Mitsuko and Jiro reunite and search for Mitsuko's mother, who reveals her love for Professor Gill but couldn't bear being away from her children. She provides them with the location of Professor Gill's headquarters before taking her own life. Jiro confronts Hakaider alone and discovers Professor Gill's brain inside Hakaider. Professor Gill takes control of Hakaider's body and attacks the headquarters. Jiro transfers the brain to Hanpei, who puts it back in Dr. Komyoji's body. Professor Gill tries to control Jiro with his flute but fails. Hakaider attacks Professor Gill, destroying the headquarters. Hanpei, Mitsuko, and Etsuko escape, but Jiro is missing. Mitsuko remains hopeful that Jiro will return.
