WALL-E

In the year 2805, Earth has been abandoned and is buried under mountains of garbage left behind by decades of rampant consumerism driven by the megacorporation Buy 'n' Large (BnL). Seven hundred years prior, BnL evacuated the planet's population using fully automated starliners, leaving behind WALL-E trash compactor robots to clean up in preparation for humanity's eventual return. However, this plan failed, and all WALL-E units became inactive—except for one. This particular WALL-E has developed sentience after years of life experiences and continues to function by repairing himself with parts salvaged from other inactive units.
