Toxic Crusaders

The cartoon follows a plot similar to the films The Toxic Avenger and its sequels. Melvin, a complete nerd, falls into toxic waste and transforms into Toxie, a deformed mutant with superhuman size and strength. He teams up with other mutants: No-Zone (with powers from radioactive sneezes), Major Disaster (who controls plants), Head-banger (a fusion of Fender, a singing surfer, and Dr. Bender, a mad scientist), and Junkyard (a dog/hobo hybrid) to form The Toxic Crusaders. They fight crime and focus on being environmentally conscious while battling Apocalypse Inc., which, in the series, is led by an alien instead of Satan.
