Denver, the Last Dinosaur
Denver, the Last Dinosaur begins with Jeremy and his friends—Mario, Shades, Wally, Casey, and Heather—visiting the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles. During their visit, they encounter a gang of bullies and seek refuge near the tar pits, where they discover a large prehistoric egg. The egg hatches, revealing Denver, a friendly green Corythosaurus who understands English. The kids name him Denver after spotting an advertisement for the city on a passing bus. To keep Denver's existence a secret, the children first hide him in Wally's pool house, but after his sister discovers him, they move him to an old school gym. Denver is soon kidnapped by Morton Fizzback, a rock concert promoter who wants to exploit him for profit. Morton puts Denver on stage to make money, but his plan backfires when Denver is eventually sold to Professor Funt, a scientist eager to experiment on him and gain fame. Despite these challenges, Denver uses a piece of his egg shell to travel back in time, rescuing the kids and thwarting Morton's plans. Throughout the series, Denver and the kids navigate various adventures, combining their knowledge of modern life with Denver's prehistoric origins.
