In the distant future, people leave a shattered Earth and set out for space. However, because of an unforeseen phenomena that prohibits them from entering space, humanity returns to Earth only to discover that, with the exception of Japan, it is hostile. Pocket dimensions are built everywhere throughout Japan to house the resettling population in order to house the total human population. The humans start acting out human history as described in the Holy Book Testament in attempt to figure out a means to get back into space. However, the nations of the pocket dimensions divided Japan's territory into several "Divine States" in the year 1413 of the Testament Era as a result of the destruction of the land created above Japan for the reenactment, which was known as the Divine Realm. The majority of these "Divine States" are ruled over by Japanese noble families, with the "Far East" of Japan being represented, and the Far East's academy is located on the flying ship Musashi. Musashi cruises throughout Japan, stopping occasionally in the area of the Far East Divine State. The Testament Union, the organization in charge of overseeing the historical recreation, keeps an eye on the Divine States in this year, 1648 of the Testament Era. However, as soon as the Testament stops detailing what happened after 1648, tales of an apocalypse and war start to circulate. Tori Aoi, president of the student council and head of Musashi Ariadust Academy's Supreme Federation, seizes the chance to lead his peers in an effort to avert the end of the world and usher humanity into a brighter future.
