"Last Exile: Fam, The Silver Wing" is a sequel to the original "Last Exile" series. It was produced by Gonzo and directed by Koichi Chigira, who also directed the original series. Set two years after the events of "Last Exile," "Fam, The Silver Wing" takes place in the same universe but focuses on a new cast of characters and a different planet, Earth. The story centers on Fam Fan Fan and her navigator Giselle Collette, two Sky Pirates who make a living by capturing and selling airships. When the Ades Federation, led by the ambitious Luscinia Hāfez, starts a war to unify the planet under his rule and cleanse it of "foreign contaminants," Fam and Giselle get tangled up in the global conflict. They meet Princess Liliana and her younger sister Millia of the Turan Kingdom, which has been destroyed by the Ades Federation. Fam promises to help them regain their lost kingdom, setting them on a journey that will change the course of their lives and the planet.
