The backstories of Pikachu as a Pichu, Ash missing Professor Oak's camp when he was 6 years old, and Goh attending Professor Oak's camp when he was 6 years old and seeing a Mew are all told. Goh, a Research fellow, travels to each of the areas with Ash and Pikachu. Goh wants to capture every single Pokémon, including Mew, while Ash wants to vanquish Leon. A daughter named Chloe Cerise, who is close to her father's Yamper, is part of the supporting cast. On occasion, Chloe travels with Ash, Goh, and her recently captured, incapable-of-evolving Eevee. One explanation for her incapacity is that she is undecided about her course of action. Goh participated in the "Project Mew" research project's trail missions in order to track down Mew. In the last match of the Masters Eight Tournament of the Pokémon World Coronation Series, Ash defeated Leon to win the title of Pokémon World Champion.
