Tetsujin 28-gou (2004)
During the Second World War, Dr. Haneda was creating experimental huge robot warriors to battle the allies, but before they could be used, Allied bombers destroyed the base and took his life. Two of the surviving prototypes, #26 and #27 in the series, were found by thieves ten years later, and they were utilized to carry out a number of crimes. Twelve-year-old Shotaro Haneda, the son of Dr. Haneda, conducted some research and learned that the mob was looking for the series' twenty-eighth robot, which was rumored to be the most potent of them all. Shotaro finds the robot before the criminals do, along with Dr. Shikashima, a parent of his father's colleague who was also thought to have perished in the Allied attack. Together, they manage to keep the robot, officially known as Tetusjin-28, out of the clutches of the bad guys and decide to dedicate him to peace rather than conflict.
