Kemurikusa

A few teenage girls with unusual abilities and a tree that has grown through a train car struggle to survive in a dry land as they look for the last remaining water sources. Wakaba, a little boy with no memory other than his own name, interrupts their daily struggle for survival. The girls set out on a treacherous voyage with their new companion across blazing red fog waves in search of the supplies they will need to survive on the more remote, deadly islands populated by robotic bugs. Their ultimate fate will be determined by their own fortitude and Wakaba's inquisitive understanding of the enigmatic luminous leaves known as Kemurikusa, which have magical abilities. The Kemurikusa are the last remaining signs of life in this place, along with the girls, Wakaba, and swarms of hungry bugs. What led to this outcome? Why are there so many homes that are vacant and uninhabited? The truth can only be discovered within the Kemurikusa because Wakaba and the females do not have the answers to these inquiries.
