Miyuki Hoshizora, a teen, sees the world of fairy tales as one filled with wonderful encounters and joyful conclusions. She lives each day looking for happiness, motivated by her love of these tales. On her first day of classes as a transfer student, Miyuki is running late when she encounters Candy, a strange fairy from Märchenland, the land of fairy tales. Miyuki, however, is left with the impression that the encounter was a dream when Candy vanishes as swiftly as she appeared. Miyuki discovers a mysterious library at school after a hectic first day. As she searches the bookcases, Candy, who says she is looking for the alleged mythical warriors, Precure, appears next to her. Miyuki changes into "Cure Happy," one of the Precure warriors, as she is obliged to defend Candy's and everyone else's happiness! As Cure Happy, Miyuki now has the responsibility of locating the other legendary warriors, averting global catastrophe, and perhaps even finding her own happy ending.
