The Elkford, British Columbia-based drama series follows the trials and tribulations of junior high school student Sharon Spitz (a play on words, as "sharing spit" is a euphemism for kissing), whose braces prevent her from living a typical adolescent life. Her braces are always electrically charged, giving her strange abilities like the ability to control machinery remotely, access wireless communication networks, and even discharge electricity directly into whatever is in front of her. However, many of these abilities frequently operate independently of her will. She attends Mary Pickford Junior High in the first season, but as the show proceeds, she transfers to Elkford High School.
