Camp Lazlo
The trio of children at Camp Kidney, a summer camp with questionable management, are the subject of the television series, which is set in a universe where only anthropomorphic animals of various species live there. The trio consists of Clam, the peaceful albino pygmy rhinoceros, Raj, the fearful Indian elephant, and Lazlo, the wacky, upbeat spider monkey, and their numerous bizarre experiences. Other characters include the boys' assortment of fellow campers, including the grumpy, surly platypus Edward, the two stupid, dirt-loving dung beetles Chip and Skip, and the clumsy, accident-prone, geeky Guinea pig Samson. The selfish, ill-tempered moose Scoutmaster Lumpus and his mild-mannered assistant Slinkman the banana slug are also present. There's also a competing summer camp called Acorn Flats, which is only attended by girls. The focus of this book is on the female counterparts of Lazlo, Raj, and Clam who attend that camp, including Patsy the daring mongoose who has a major crush on Lazlo, Gretchen the irritable alligator, Nurse Leslie the pink nurse shark who works as a doctor, Nina the bookish, sci-fi-loving girl.
