In the kingdom of Slantania, a miasmic force has plagued humanity since time immemorial, bringing forth monsters that wreak havoc. When the Order of Knights fails to contain the chaos, the Grand Magus sends a holy maiden, known as the "Saint," to vanquish the beasts and restore peace. One evening, Sei Takanashi is unexpectedly transported to this strange world after a long day at work. Upon her arrival, she learns that she and another girl with brown hair have been summoned by the Grand Magus. However, the prince designates the other girl as the Saint, leaving Sei to navigate this new world alone and without the divine purpose she had anticipated.
