Mou Ippon!

Sanae Takigawa, a cheerful judo enthusiast, is taken aback when she receives a message from Michi Sonoda, announcing her decision to permanently quit judo after their last middle school competition. This news surprises Sanae because it was Michi's passion for the sport that initially inspired her to take up judo. Michi believes that a fulfilling adolescence should focus on experiences like finding a boyfriend rather than spending time on sticky tatami mats. However, Michi's strategy to finish off her early judo career with a flourish is derailed when she suffers a humiliating loss at the hands of the gifted Towa Hiura. Later, when she learns that Towa has enrolled at the same high school as herself and Sanae, her plan is further thwarted. Michi may quickly come to the realization that she still harbors unresolved affections for the judo sport with the unexpected appearance of her old adversary.
