Haruto Amakawa, a 20-year-old college student, does not anticipate waking up in the body of Rio, a small kid, after dying in a car accident. Rio discovers he now has magical abilities when their memories and egos merge. He is relieved to discover that, despite his newly assumed identity, his fierce desire for vengeance against those responsible for the murder of his mother has not abated. Rio finds the Bertram Kingdom princess being held captive not long after and immediately saves her. The monarch offers him the chance to enroll in the Bertram Royal Academy as a token of his appreciation. He is eager to enroll at this prestigious academy since he sees it as the beginning of a new chapter in his life, but living here as a slum-dweller among the majestic offspring of nobles proves to be challenging for him.
