From Up on Poppy Hill

Overlooking a seaside port, Coquelicot Manor is a boarding house run by Umi Matsuzaki's family. Umi takes on various responsibilities at the manor while also attending a local high school that is facing a crisis. In preparation for the upcoming Olympic Games, a cherished old clubhouse is slated for demolition to make way for a new facility, prompting students to rally together to save it. Umi joins the newspaper club to help spread awareness about their cause and soon forms a bond with Shun Kazama, a fellow student who captures her heart. As they work together, Umi learns that Shun, an orphan with little knowledge of his past, shares a deeper connection with her than she initially realized. Their journey to uncover clues about Shun's origins brings them closer, revealing shared experiences that strengthen their bond amidst the backdrop of their school’s struggle.
