Mind Game

Nishi, a man deeply in love with his ex-girlfriend Myon, witnesses her getting injured on a subway. He reunites with her and learns she's engaged. During a dinner with Myon's fiancé, Yakuza members attack the restaurant. Nishi tries to protect Myon but is killed. Nishi is revived by a shapeshifting god who mocks him for dying. Nishi rejects the god's offer to disappear and instead kills a Yakuza member and escapes with Myon and her sister. Mind Game is a visually unique film directed by Masaaki Yuasa. It tells a story about living life without regrets.
