A new year brings fresh beginnings for Kitauji High School's concert band, as the graduation of the third-year seniors paves the way for a new group of first-year students. The returning second-year Kumiko Oumae and her friends are determined to practice hard for their goal of competing in the nationals. As they interact with the quirky new first-years, tensions and conflicts arise among the band members. However, as they work together, their hidden feelings start to surface. Not every disagreement is easily resolved, and the trust and bonds within the group are tested as they strive for success in the upcoming regionals. Through their struggles, they learn about teamwork, friendship, and the challenges of pursuing their dreams.
