Angel Cop

"Angel Cop" is a six-part original video animation (OVA) series produced in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Set in the near future, the story takes place in Japan, which has become a prosperous independent nation due to its remarkable economic growth. However, this prosperity attracts threats from extremist communist groups who want to destabilize the country. To combat these threats, a special counter-terrorism unit known as the Special Security Force, or simply "Angel," is formed. The plot primarily follows Angel, a member of this force, as she and her team deal with violent attacks from these extremists. But as the story progresses, they find themselves embroiled in a conspiracy that involves not just the extremists but also corruption within their own government.
