In the universe of The Book of Bantorra, the dead are transformed into books that resemble stones. The Bantorra Library compiles, preserves, and houses these books. Anyone can discover a book's history by reading it. The Armed Librarians, who control supernatural powers, care for Bantorra Library. The Church of Drowning in God's Grace, a psychotic sect, is thought to be their nemesis. The plot develops as it depicts a world of suffering, injustice, and ruthlessness in life, as well as individual ambitions.
