Dances with the Dragons

The show is set in an alternate universe and is primarily set in the city of Eridana, whose territory is divided equally between the Lapetodes Seven Cities Alliance and the Tseberun Dragon Empire. The Orielal River divides each part from the other. Spell formulas ( jushiki), which are simply chemical reactions enhanced using particular weapons to produce an effect akin to a magic spell, are special powers that exist in this universe. These unique weapons, which go by the name of "Magic Staff weapons," are just as varied as common weapons. These spell formulas are used by spell casters to combat "Beasts of Abhorrent Form," such as Dragons, Aions, and Enormes, who are naturally occurring spell-using creatures and a menace to mankind. Gaius Sorel and Gigina Ashley-Bufh, the only two employees of the spell formulist dispatch office Ashley-Bufh & Sorel Co., are the two major characters of the story. They receive a wide range of requests from a wide range of clients, all of which call for the skillful use of spell formulas.
