Oozora Reiji isn't a sluggish boy; he's simply unmotivated; all of the groups and activities he's joined don't hold his interest for long. That is, of course, until his best friend Yukino invites him to an underground arcade where a game called Dragon Drive is being played where players battle it out with virtual dragons. Reiji ultimately commits all of his resources to raising a dragon that is so uncommon that the Dragon Drive personnel are perplexed. Reiji soon discovers, however, that Dragon Drive may not be what it first appears to be and that he may be the only person capable of rescuing the entire world from evil.
