Misfortune keeps giving Hayate Ayasaki the short end of the stick. The butler is now accustomed to life in the Sanzenins' house and at Hakuou Academy, where he works as hard as ever to look after his young mistress Nagi and complete the demanding course work. He also does his best to survive the numerous difficulties that life inevitably throws his way. Ayumu Nishizawa, a friend of his before he became a butler, and the responsible Hinagiku Katsura, the president of Hakuou's student council, are two examples of the ever-growing list of accidentally seduced girls. The unintentional chick magnet must also deal with Nagi's as-yet-unnoticed infatuation with him. Both of the girls are going to make the boy's life a little more difficult than it already is as one battles to win his attention and the other frantically tries to deny her own.
