Neo-Saitama, a cyberpunk metropolis, serves as the setting for the narrative. Salaryman Kenji Fujikido becomes possessed by a strange ninja soul known as Naraku Ninja after his wife and child are killed in a ninja turf battle. Together, Naraku and Fujikido create Ninja Slayer, a horrific grim reaper that kills ninjas, out of their mutual desire to massacre the evil ninja. Ninja Slayer grows more potent as their symbiotic mental and physical relationships expand. Fujikido will be invincible if he entirely gives himself over to Naraku, but at the risk of allowing Naraku to slaughter people without restraint.
