Gin no Guardian

Suigin Riku, a high school student and avid gamer, is followed throughout the narrative as he enrolls in the exclusive Shinryou Private Academy, an exclusive school for the affluent and privileged. Suigin, on the other hand, is anything but; in fact, he is extremely impoverished and needs to work many part-time jobs simply to pay for his tuition. One day, while performing one of his many tasks, cleaning a pool, he notices a cat drowning and leaps in to save the feline. He turns out to be unable to swim as well, which comes as a shock. Fortunately, Rei Riku, a girl who passed by, saved him. She was the daughter of the video game designer who made his favorite game, albeit he was unaware of this. Additionally, he makes a new acquaintance in Dungeon Century, his preferred online role-playing game. He is saddened to learn that his adventures with her will come to an end when it is announced that the game will be shut down. He learns that she and Rei Riku are the same person, nevertheless, after the game is ended. Later, he acquires Grave Buster, a tomb raiding game, to replace Dungeon Century. Suigin, however, is dragged within Grave Buster to save Rei when she is unexpectedly abducted.
