Adventure Time
The story of Adventure Time centers on a young kid named Finn the Human (Jeremy Shada), who has magical abilities to change his size at will, and his best friend and adopted brother Jake the Dog (John DiMaggio). Finn is characterized as a "fiery little kid with strong morals" by the series' author, Pendleton Ward. On the other hand, Jake is modeled after Tripper Harrison, played by Bill Murray in Meatballs. Jake will "sit [Finn] down and give him some decent advice if he really needs it" according to this statement, even if he is generally carefree. The post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo, where Finn and Jake reside, was devastated by a nuclear war known as the "Mushroom War" that wiped out civilization a thousand years prior to the events of the story. The Ice King (Tom Kenny), a menacing but largely misunderstood ice wizard; Marceline the Vampire Queen (Olivia Olson), a thousand-year-old vampire and rock music enthusiast; Lumpy Space Princess (Pendleton Ward), a melodramatic and immature princess made out of "lumps"; and BMO (Niki Yang), a sentient robot.
