Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld

She was born into the Amethyst royal line of Gemworld, a made-up realm populated by magical beings and magic, and her parents were assassinated not long after she was born by Dark Opal, who would later become her archenemy. A witch hides her on Earth and adopts her into a family, giving her the name Amy Winston. She eventually leaves for Gemworld on her thirteenth birthday, discovers her lineage, and goes up against the Lords of Chaos and their goons, including Dark Opal, to become Gemworld's chief protector. The character was retrospectively reset following the events of Flashpoint, having initially been nurtured by her mother Graciel to eventually aid in the liberation of Gemworld from a despotic dictator. While she goes by the name Amaya, Amy Winston is who she really is. The character's original origin is reinstated during DC Rebirth, however there is little link to the Lords of Chaos and Order.
