Code Lyoko
Jeremy Belpois, an eighth-grade genius at Kadic Academy, discovers a quantum supercomputer in an abandoned factory nearby. When he activates it, he encounters Aelita, an artificially intelligent girl trapped in a virtual realm known as Lyoko. However, he also uncovers the presence of X.A.N.A., a malicious and highly intelligent multi-agent system. X.A.N.A. can infect electronics and real-world objects with a virus, wreaking havoc, and its ultimate goal is to eliminate anyone aware of the supercomputer to seize control of the real world and exterminate humanity. Determined to bring Aelita into the physical world and stop X.A.N.A.'s attacks, Jeremy teams up with his friends Odd Della Robbia, Ulrich Stern, and Yumi Ishiyama, who have been virtualized in Lyoko. Together, they help Aelita access various Lyoko Towers, which serve as gateways between the virtual and real worlds. When they deactivate a Tower, the world rewinds time to correct any damage caused by X.A.N.A., and those scanned into the supercomputer retain their memories. Ultimately, Aelita is brought into the real world, but the team soon discovers that X.A.N.A. has implanted a virus in her that will be fatal if the supercomputer is turned off. They realize that in order to defeat X.A.N.A., they must also confront the risk of losing Aelita, creating a dilemma that complicates their mission.
