One year has passed since the Black Rebellion was crushed and Zero was purportedly put to death. To try to avert any such uprisings and disrupt rebellious impulses, Britannia has given Area 11 a status known as "correctional education," where Elevens are made an example of through use of force. Lelouch, an unaware high school student, discovers a plot on his life and the life of a mysterious woman known as C.C., who reveals to him his forgotten purpose and his "real" nature. Lelouch is unaware of his rebellious past as Zero. Lelouch begins to complete what he started after defeating his attackers and declaring himself Zero once more.
