Satoru Fujinuma discovers himself brought back before the catastrophe occurs just as tragedy is about to strike. The estranged 29-year-old manga artist has utilized the potent yet enigmatic phenomenon he refers to as "Revival" to rescue numerous lives. But when he is falsely charged with killing someone dear to him, Satoru is transported back in time once more, this time to 1988, which is 18 years earlier.
