Ingress the Animation

The story begins when a mysterious substance called "Exotic Matter" (XM) starts to affect certain humans, granting them psychic abilities. The origins of this substance trace back to a scientific experiment gone wrong. The plot centers around Makoto Midorikawa, a special police investigator with the ability to read the memories of objects he touches. He becomes involved in the mystery of the XM when he encounters Sarah Coppola, a woman who is being pursued because of her unique ability to communicate with XM. Makoto, Sarah, and a former mercenary named Jack Norman end up entangled in the battle between two factions: The Enlightened, who seek to harness the power of XM to evolve humanity, and The Resistance, who aim to protect humanity from the potential negative effects of XM.
