Three Leaves, Three Colors

Youko Nishikawa tries to shed her princess-like persona and establish friends at her all-girls high school after going from being pampered to impoverished as a result of the bankruptcy of her father's business. She meets Teru Hayama, a young woman with an innocent appearance but a shockingly straightforward and occasionally cruel demeanor, and Futaba Odagiri, the super-active transfer student, by accident one day while dining alone in a neighboring forest. The three girls, whose names all contain the kanji for "leaf," form an unexpected bond as they attempt to make their way through the hilarious and unpredictable adventure that is high school life. Three close but very different friends are the focus of the upbeat, adorable sitcom Sansha Sanyou as they attempt to reconcile the difficulties that school and puberty present on a daily basis.
