Hiromi Oka, a high school student, struggles in the narrative to improve her tennis skills. Reika Ryzaki, an older girl who is the team's best player and is known as "Madame Butterfly" for her grace on the tennis court, fascinates Nishi Hiromi, who starts playing tennis while she is a student. Hiromi is given tennis training by Jin Munakata, the team's new coach, who recognizes her potential as a player. Hiromi battles with her mental sluggishness. Later, she develops feelings for another tennis player, Takayuki Td, but coach Munakata advises her not to get too attached and to put her tennis talents ahead of him. Hiromi frequently loses faith in her ability to play, but with the help of her coach and her friends, she is able to get over her fear. Hiromi develops her mental fortitude by practicing to get better as a player. She becomes one of the finest players in the world thanks to her excitement, love of the game, and the encouragement of those around her.
