Chou Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru
A mythical dragon named Ryujinmaru magically transports a 9-year-old boy named Wataru Ikusabe, also known as Ikusabe Wataru, to the realm known as Soukaizan, which he is tasked with defending against a wicked, magical, demonic tyrant. The series includes several RPG game components, such as dungeon levels and missions for magical items. In a rough pyramid shape, Soukaizan is depicted as a succession of magically floating tiered platforms, each one floating above the one below it. The heroes of the program must accomplish some duty on the tier underneath in order to move on to the next, where he will encounter the ultimate magical villain of the series. He also has to overcome the level's magical monarch and all of his magical goons in addition to these challenges. The mystical gray rainbow over Soukaizan is rejuvenated by one color for each level he completes. Wataru turns a clay sculpture into a little, partly magical Super Robot in his attempt to save the magical world. He also becomes close friendships with a few of the wonderful Soukaizan locals. The three words that make up the phrase Sou-kai-zan are "Sou" (creation), "Kai" (realm, space, world, or universe), and "Zan" (hill or mountain), which stands for the pyramidal shape of the magical world's level.
