Choujikuu Seiki Orguss
The world is at war in the year 2062. Conflict between the two superpowers over the space elevator. Dimensional weapons, like the Space/Time Oscillation Bomb, are considerably more dangerous than atomic, biological, or chemical weapons. Despite the bomb's immense power, a group of engineers must arm it there and then. The Freedom Space Corps desperately begin a campaign to demolish the space elevator by detonating a Space/Time Oscillation Bomb. The engineers are compelled by the attack to cancel the mission and detonate the bomb before it can be properly equipped. Kei Katsuragi, a brazen jet pilot, clumsily arms the bomb with terrible consequences because he is furious at the choice to abort and believes that his teammates' deaths were in vain. Kei and his Bronco II variable fighter are sent to a severely damaged future by a dimensional explosion. There, the militaristic Chilam and the gypsy-like Emaan hunt him for an unidentified cause. Referring to Kei as a Tokuiten, both sides appear to be interested in him for some reason. It was originally rendered by US Renditions as "Differentiated Idioblast," but "Singularity" is a more accurate translation. It has been translated as a "idiosyncratic point" in the ImaginAsian version. The Emaan transform Kei's damaged Bronco II into the series' titular Orguss after a battle, which is later adopted and mass-produced as the Orguss II.
