Dae Jang Geum: Jang Geum's Dream
Although it is geared toward a younger audience, the plot is based on the Korean historical drama Dae Jang Geum. The story revolves around a girl named Jang Geum who wants to work as a chef in a royal house. However, Jang Geum's Dream does not contain the intricate web of corruption and occasionally even murder that is featured in Dae Jang Geum. In Season 2, it is revealed that Jang Geum's mother has passed away. With lots of comedy, the plot is kept light-hearted the entire time. In the course of the narrative, Jang Geum enters the palace and astounds everyone with her abilities and eagerness to study. She abandons her intention of cooking to make others smile, though, after earning a lot of praise from the royals and upper sung goong and instead focuses on winning and impressing. Lady Han, a sang goong who has always kept an eye on her, cautions her about the course she is following, but Jang Geum persists in trying to win her over. After stealing a precious book, she is ultimately exposed by the sang goongs and expelled from the palace alongside her pals Yeon Shan and Chang Yi. While traveling with her pals, Jang Geum gradually comes to terms with her errors and returns to her original line of thinking. She acknowledges that she had overlooked the significance of pure flavor. At the conclusion of this series, Jang Geum returns to the palace after winning a competition by cooking food that is healthy for everyone who consumes it. But because she desires a fresh start, she lowers herself to the position of lowest palace maid. With Jang Geum's Dream Season 2 in 2007, the narrative goes on.
