Nozomu Futami returns to the place where he was born and nurtured at the start of the narrative. He settles close to a shrine that contains a fabled stone that is said to have been the spot where twin girls allegedly changed into birds. There are a lot of twin girls born in the town, and it is thought that the stone is to blame. Due to their love for a man who was unable to decide between them, the twins who changed into birds did so. Nozomu soon encounters the same issues as six sets of twins compete for his affection after arriving in town.
