Nanako Usami, a typical high school student in the town of Nagarekawa (Nagarekawa-shi, "Flowing River City"), accepts her uncle's invitation to join the idol group known as the Nagarekawa Girls (Nagarekawa Gruzu), which she founded with classmate Yukari Kohinata.
