Gallery Fake
There is a little gallery called Gallery Fake on a pier in Tokyo Bay. Reiji Fujita, the gallery's proprietor, once worked as a curator at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. He was known as the "Professor" because he was a scholarly curator with a phenomenal memory, high aesthetic sense, considerable competence in painting restoration, and knowledge of several languages. Fujita was compelled to leave the museum, though, due to issues at work. He is now an art dealer who sells paintings, both real and fraudulent, sometimes for exorbitant sums of money depending on the situation or the sort of customer. His adage is "A person lacking in artistic sensibility is inevitably duped out of his money. A person may learn to discriminate between genuine and fake goods by being tricked." Fujita, though, has a keen sense of fairness. He does not try to trick others by passing off false paintings as genuine ones since he genuinely values art and the artists who dedicated their life to creating it. He will go above and above to assist those in need, but he will also pursue justice for dishonest politicians, businesspeople, or art dealers. Despite his rather stern demeanor, he frequently makes a positive impact on the lives of individuals he meets.
