Heng, the most powerful of the seven states, is on the path of unification in the framework of the Warring States period of Chinese history. A young man named Ding Ning (Li Xian) has plans to assassinate the King of Heng in retaliation for his master Liang Jingmeng's murder ten years ago. He and his friend, Zhansun Qianxue (Li Yitong), pretended to be relatives in order to hide from the King.
