the conclusion of season 2. Shinou is vanquished by Yuuri, but because Shinou had been vanquished, Yuuri and Murata were unable to access the Shin Makoku. Shinou was able to rely on his own power to travel back to Shin Makoku, but since Yuuri had battled and defeated him, his powers had surpassed those of Shinou. At the age of 16, Yuuri slowly starts to realize that a lot has transpired while he was away after the wedding. The ten noble family officials had chosen Wolfram to be the new Maou, but now that Yuuri has returned and assumed his position as Maou, difficulties arise when one noble objected to Yuuri taking back the throne. Additionally, a long-forgotten secret society that poses a threat to the harmony between humans and Mazoku has emerged, and a struggle for the throne has left the nobles unsure of the identity of the rightful Maou.
