Kyoukai no Kanata: Mini Theater

The only surviving member of a group of warriors from the Spirit World who have the ability to use their blood as weapons is Mirai Kuriyama. Mirai is therefore given the responsibility of locating and eliminating "youmu"—creatures that are said to represent the expression of unfavorable human emotions. Akihito Kanbara, a rare half-breed of youmu in human form, comes upon Mirai one day when she is lost in meditation on the school roof. She attacks him with her blood saber in a fit of rage before realizing that he is an immortal creature. In an effort to revive Mirai's own waning confidence as a Spirit World warrior, the two go on to develop an impromptu friendship that focuses around Mirai's continual attempts to kill Akihito. Finally, Akihito succeeds in persuading her to join the Literary Club, which is home to Mitsuki Nase and Hiroomi, two more formidable Spirit World warriors. The persistence of the youmu around them, though, grows as the group's bond does. The imminent breakout of the most potent youmu, Beyond the Boundary, will soon cause their mishaps to turn into a struggle for survival.
