The Happiness House, a massive tree with numerous tiny structures and cottages built on and inside of it, is where Michi and her family have recently relocated. Michi discovers an odd nut-like thing while investigating what would soon be her new bedroom. Soon after, Nanami-chan, a bizarre creature, emerges from it. They quickly become buddies. Together, Michi and Nanami-chan discover a variety of new things, and every day they encounter more peculiar Happiness House members.
