A cruel and avaricious baron named Alwine gave the order to burn down the Huntingtons' castle in Nottingham County some centuries ago. Robin and his cousins Will, Winifred, and Barbara miraculously escaped the fire. The young people found refuge in Sherwood Woodland, where, with the help of the hermit better known as "Friar Tuck," they were able to cope as best they could with the challenges of living in the wilderness. Nevertheless, the forest was home to a courageous gang of youthful robbers, commanded by Little John. The two groups fought for the fate of Marian, a young, noble woman who had been captured by the robbers during an ambush, during their initial encounter with Robin and his cousins. However, their resentment quickly turned into friendship, and Robin and John later understood they were all the victims of the same misfortune. Thus, the young people decided to lend a hand to one another. Not only was Baron Alwine hostile to the Huntingtons; a few years prior, he had compelled Little John and his gang to seek refuge in the forest from forced labor. The secret was etched on a cross that Marian Lancaster was wearing as a family crest, and he would later go looking for her. Alwine's partner, the unscrupulous Bishop Herfort, who wanted to inherit the Lancasters' fortune, was to adopt the child. The baron's forces were led by Gilbert, a rogue and daring knight, and Robin and his allies were then forced to fight against them with all their might. Our heroes made every effort to get inside the castle's dungeons when Winifred and Marian were imprisoned there until they were eventually successful. Because of his good nature and awareness of peril, Robin quickly gained a reputation as the defender of the weak and oppressed. He was adored and held in the highest regard not only by the peasants but also and especially by the lovely and gentle Marian. The youngster who never let go of his devoted, magical bow went on countless perilous and impossible missions.
