Saiyuuki Gaiden

A heretic infant with golden eyes is transported into Heaven 500 years before the events of Saiyuki. The nephew of the Merciful Goddess Kanzeon Bosatsu, a lesser god by the name of Konzen, is reluctantly handed charge of him. The youngster is eventually given the name "Goku" by Konzen. Marshal Tenpou and General Kenren of the Western Army of Heaven, two additional lesser gods, become friends with Goku. The War Prince Nataku, a weird little child who appears to be his own age, is another person he meets. Even though Goku is content in his new home, heretics are not treated well in Heaven. Konzen, Tenpou, and Kenren might not be able to protect Nataku and Goku from those who would want to use them as tools to take the throne of Heaven.
