On her way home from school one day, Kaede enters a shadowy store and purchases a vibrant cocoa mug. When she gets home, she takes a casual look inside the cup and sees an engraved message that reads, "If you read this message aloud while pouring hot chocolate into the mug, a love fairy (called a "muglox") will emerge and grant your every request." Kaede, who is dubious yet inquisitive, complies with the instructions and declares her desire to date Yuuki, the popular student. The lovely blue Mirumo arrives out of nowhere! However, it quickly becomes apparent that this adorable little muglox prefers to indulge in chocolate and cause trouble than assisting Kaede. Mirumo appears to be the prince of the muglox community. Mirumo has left the muglox world because he is terrified of having to wed Rirumu, his royal bride-to-be. However, Rirumu, Yashichi the bounty hunter, and a cast of hundreds of muglox, including the good, the bad, and the crazy, are close behind. Kaede and her friends' school life will never be the same thanks to this charming troublemaking group.
