Biao Ren: Blades of the Guardians

In a world where warriors called "escorts" are hired to eliminate those the government targets, Dao Ma, a wandering warrior, seeks to repay Mo, a man who cared for him and his child, Xiao Qi. As they make their way back to Mo's town, they encounter a victim of a man-eating monster known as a "rakshasa." Dao Ma soon finds himself caught in the pervasive fear gripping the nation during the final years of the Sui dynasty, marked by the rise of rakshasa victims, violence, slavery, and ruthless warriors.
